Hanoi, Vietnam- Day Three 13 December 2015

So, in day three, there was quite many things going around, and long journey to Halong Bay.

First stop in our city tour was the Temple of Literature. It was a walking distance from our hotel.

Bus stop in olden days. hahaha

It's the first university in Hanoi, which has about a thousand plus years of history.

I guess, I was trying to sc at the back there. lol

A lot students came here to pray for good results and future.

Gold plated tortoise.

After visiting the temple, we headed for Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.

No photo taking in the mausoleum and the queue to enter was so long.

I would say nice experience, but probably no second visit to mausoleum.

Ho Chi Minh's house

One Pillar Pagoda

Some stalls for tourists.

I forgot what is this, but it tasted somewhat like soursop. It had a buttery texture, which was surprisingly good. hahaha

Then, we headed for our buffet lunch at Sen Tay Ho, which offers around 500 different dishes.

It looks like a food market inside. There are so many different cuisine.

Pho Bo.
Vietnamese Beef Noodle, one of my fav. Too much love for pho, unlike kuew tiew in Msia, it's not oily at all, but still very silky smooth.

Bun Rieu.
Vietnamese Crab Noodle, so much love for this too!

Dish on the right top, Bun Cha, grilled pork noodles.
Another huge boom, totally a must! The grilled pork was just nice and with the sauce, the dish had gone to another level. It's heaven. lol

Dessert, my love.
I was craving for dessert on the day before, yes, craving fixed.

A lot of tourists and locals.

Eager faces for food

After the fulfilling lunch, we started our 4 hours journey to Halong Bay and stayed for a night.

Aromatic Vietnamese Coffee

Got ourselves some Vietnamese snack.

Finally, reached Halong Bay around 4 or 5 something.

But before that we headed to a bamboo whatsoever place. Then only had our dinner nearby.

I would say the dishes were so so. And too many fried dishes which I got so much fear. lol

And eventually checked in at New Star Hotel! The hotel was looking new, clean and with good wifi. lol

That's all for day three! Stay tuned for day four as we had a tour in Halong Bay. More beautiful photos in coming post!

take care, loveya'll,
xoxo,
